"I was drawn to Canterbury Legal as their approach to working with and for clients is pragmatic and key to ensuring that clients feel supported."
Terena joined the Canterbury Legal team in October 2022, as a Litigation Lawyer.

Prior to joining Canterbury Legal, Terena worked in a commercial and residential property law firm. She acted largely in property transactions and litigation matters such as debt recovery, building disputes, employment matters and estates.

Before that, she worked in a general practice firm in Australia. She then specialised in plaintiff personal injury for litigated claims across multiple jurisdictions.

Terena is a motivated litigator who finds purpose in assisting with a successful resolution of a dispute.

Terena’s background

From a young age Terena has had a keen interest in law as her career path, and has been involved in legal practice since 2013.

She studied at the Auckland University of Technology, from which she graduated with a LLB, before being admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in 2018.

Being new to Christchurch, Terena spends most her time enjoying the Canterbury lifestyle, exploring the variety of restaurants, retail, and sporting events.
